Stately Home improvements in Virginia Water

Our client asked Gallery Architects to look at how the quality of natural light could be improved within their new home. We were also asked to see if it would be possible to modernise this home which already has a distinct architectural character.

Our response was to generate a 3D model to capture the constraints of the existing building. A scheme was then developed exploring how the building may appear were we to redesign the window and door aspects. Parts of the ground floor are also being remodelled and some main living areas are being opened up to each other. The larger window and door apertures will not only solve the low natural light levels within the home but now offers a grand stand within the home overlooking the large landscaped garden, the newly created wetland and established wooded area beyond,
